With seating capacity for up to 300 seated and the flexibility to make more intimate spaces within the venue for smaller gatherings, Green Grove can offer everything you need. We welcome the most creative and unique ideas from a vintage tractor photo booth to an Argentinian BBQ feast outside! The weather shouldn't hinder any plans, as the venue offers enough space to absorb the panoramic views from inside without it ever feeling too busy.
Outdoors
For a unique rustic outdoor ceremony on a farmstead, you've found the perfect spot with the 'wow' factor. Your guests can soak up the 360° views spanning the western vans of the Brecon Beacons to the Black Mountains and Towy Valley. The lawned area and gravel courtyard is a unique picturesque setting for you to bring your own personal touches to your special day.
The natural charm of Green Grove Barns is exuded through the venue's scenic beauty, open spaces and enchanting surroundings.
Event Planning
If you'd prefer us to take on the planning of your event, we can offer a full events planning service for an additional fee. During your first visit with Events Manager Sera, you'll have the opportunity to discuss initial ideas and Sera and the team can take care of the rest. Our Location
Situated on the western edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, Green Grove Barns are surrounded by beautiful rolling hills and pasture with stunning views towards the Black Mountains. If you’re looking for dramatic scenery and back drop to your wedding photos, this location is perfect for photography inspiration.
Green Grove Barns are nestled in the heart of the Tywi Valley, half way between market town Llandeilo and historic drovers’ town Llandovery. Situated less than two miles from the picturesque bustling village of Llangadog, it boasts several village stores and country inns serving delicious dishes and local ales. If you need advice on booking a pre-event get together at a local inn or a trip to a convenience store during your stay we would be happy to direct you.
Meet the team
In 2022, daughter Carys and fiancé Llŷr planned a wedding at home on the farm. Carys, Alun and Carwyn's father Huw thought he'd empty a barn on the farm yard to host the celebrations. After a lot of preparation it was a huge success! As a family we decided to develop the barn further, followed by the farmhouse renovation, cowshed and more recently the carthouse.
Today, we have Carwyn and wife Emily working closely with Events Manager Sera on weddings and events bookings, Carys and husband Llŷr manage the accommodation bookings and Alun leads the groundworks and general maintenance on the farm with a small capable team. We are supported by parents Huw and Elizabeth and uncle Peter. It's team work at its best, which means the best team for your special day.
Sera, our bilingual Events Manager is an extension of the Rees clan and will be your main point of contact from your first visit through to your wedding day or event. Starting her career as a pastry chef at the Savoy Hotel in London, Sera has a wealth of experience in hospitality including The Grosvenor House Hotel and Lloyd's of London company as well as running her own public house and event party planning.
Sera can offer an additional full events planning service if required, where she'll bring her bespoke creativity to life along with a wealth of knowledge of the area and local suppliers. Please enquire for further details if interested.
Meet the animals
Animals play a big part at Green Grove. As a working farm, you will often spot cows in the field grazing. Our cows often feature in a couple's big day when wedding photos are taking place in the fields. We also love our dogs - spaniels Ivy, Cadi, Casi, Mervyn and Goose the retriever. You'll meet Merv the golden cocker during your visits with Sera to the barn.
If you have a well behaved precious pooch or other pets and want them to play a part in your day, we'd love to meet them. All of our accommodation is dog-friendly making it easy for you to enjoy your celebrations with peace of mind.
